Well it sounds like everyone will agree on three things: 1) it is possible to get shafted with Teammates who are of lesser experience or to get matched against teams who are all good and use ventrilo 2) Subtlesalmon has no sense of humor 3) The girl is probably the smartest one here but the south korean I got in my basement will teach me to pwn her.
Demigod is still young so maybe people will wise up, but: I have seen a number of really annoying strategies or misconceptions employed by my teammates recently that, with your help, I would like to catalog here. This could also be used as a basic guide for what not to do. 1) Tele-sniping Kill Stealers - This one controversial I understand and this certainly can be effective but I usually I just see it used to KS. You only switch to fire long enough to cast fireball and start the regen buff. Then you switch back to get the attack bonuses (attack on move/dmg buff) and aura. Also you switch to fire between battles for the regen buff. I like to open with fireball then go to frost for the main battle (immediately frost rain to debuff then try to time the stun and the interrupt when needed). If it looks like they are about to run, immediately switch for fire for the finisher Fball

Every choice, in this case upgrades, has to consider more than just "will my DG be more powerful quickly enough if at all". Even the choice to upgrade gold is not a matter of sacrificing the time it takes for your team to recoup the cost of the upgrade in gold earnings.
