Some times you just have to bite the bullet. I had the very same problem with my brother-in-law's system, and damn near had to break his arm to reinstall XP (like you he didn't have the OEM disc, only the factory reinstall on the HDD). Ii only took us approximately seven hours to get everything up and running. Now his system is running like new, and guess what. . .he is happy and easy to live with again. [e digicons]:grin:[/e]
Actually I found it very interesting. In some ways she is right. Our Constitution is getting old and in a great deal of ways it is no longer as it would appear to be on the surface. If you look at all the security acts passed in the last twenty years (The Patriot Act, etc.) we have lost some of our freedoms even though on the surface you may not notice. Still though it is the Constitution that newly formed governments look toward when attempting to build/rebuild.

There has been a requiring problem with Iconpackager 4/5 running on Vista 64 and now Win 7 64 since 64 bit Vista hit the street. The problem is the fracture of folder icons when a main folder has one or more sub-folders. Now this doesn't seem to be a problem on 32 bit Windows OS's, only the 64 bit OS's. My laptop runs Iconpackager just fine on the 32 bit Win 7, and on my iMac 24 running Win 7 32 bit in boot camp. The problem only occurs on my Windows machine wh
This problem has been going on with Vista 64 since it was released, and now the problem persist into Win 7 64. It is time to recectify the problem. We shouldn't have to rework the register, or do "command prompts." Please Stardock, fit this problem. It appears to only happen in 64 bit mode. Why is it when something new comes along there are individuals who just have to say that (no matter what) if it doesn't support this or that I will not use it, nor will many others. You would thank my some of these remarks that MS is doing this just to upset them, and because their games or applications are old they should be still supported by any new Operating System. Things get old, and at some point they have to be either no longer supported, or just discarded.

Not sure as to the reason it doen't work. Try do work arounds such as turning off Fences, but still it wouldn't work. I am running on vista home pre. on my laptop T3200 dual 2.0g intel. Jumped over to my desktop (dual boot on a intel quad 64 bit OS) and Fences work on both vista and win 7. So the problem appears to be in the laptop. The possible problem could be in Vista SP2 beta I am testing, and if that is the problem I'll just have wait and see if a future u
Read about this over on "neowin" and without thought downloaded and ran the program. Within five minutes I removed it. I removed it because it made "right click" inaffective. Now for those who do not use "right click," and have a good deal of icons on the desktop it is a great application.

Am testing 7 at present, and using objectdock (free), and right click (my favorite add-in) with no problems as of yet. I have trie Iconpackager; didn't work, so have been lurry of trying others. Fix the bug in windowblinds that for some reason makes you have to load some skins twice so you get the name of the skin instead of "unknown" This happens in Vista 32 bit and 64 formats (not with all skins. could name a soon but the list would be long). Tell you what; back up all your important files, music, pictures, doc, excel files and any thing elso you want to keep. Once that is done forget about doing an image (if you haven't already made a backup image doing one now what be usless) because you would only be making an image of the problem. As Wizard stated use the "System Restore" built into XP or if using Vista. This is a great deal easier then going through the Recovery process. You can do this in XP by going to your start menu then click on "Administrative Tools" and choose "System Restore". Hopefully you will be able to go back to the point where you installed the Leopard Skin. If not you will have no choice but to use the Recovery process.
