I am still trying to learn the game. I am curious what do you guys do. So far, since I don't know any better, I settle my first settlement or city right away. Then I build the "beacon of forget what is called :)). I try to train something, but so far I don't have enough resources. My first research is to get farms, which I am guessing will let me farm that one piece of fertile grassland. Why is there only one? I thought there would be be many. I guess I will just have to scout
I was reading the Faction and Sovereing Creation Trait list (great job btw way, thank you very much) and read a few things to take or not to take because they don't work. I read in a different FAQ, (I believe it's stickied at the top) and it said Death Worship doesn't work. So I am curious do people know what skills and traits works and what doesn't work?

How do you creat your own faction? I just have made my custom Soverign and clicked next for Factions. I don't see where I can customize them. So how do I custom make a faction?

Finally got the game installed. After 1 1/2 hours at 34% complete, I just went to bed. When I woke up, the game was already downloaded and installed. I turned the game on, went to options and turned up some graphic settings and it said I needed to restart it. Just like any other game, so no problem there. Then I realized, I didn't put in my code. I haven't seen a game install without puttin in a code first. So my question is, becuase I had Impulse download and install the game for me,

I have only 4 gigs left on my hard drive. Yeah a few too many games. I thought I had enough for Elemental but when I try to download and install it, Impulse is telling me I need over 6 gigs to install and extract? HUH? So now I have to delete some games. So is Elemental really 6 gigs? What am I not understanding? I am still new to buying games of the interent, usually I just buy them at the store.

Thank you very much guys, I will be getting this game. While I don't like waiting for the game to download I will get this off Stardock. At $40 instead of paying $85 for the limited edtion with taxes included, $40 is a reasonable price to pay. I am looking for a good game. I don't care if it's not the best game ever, it seems the current version is playable now, and a few people are at least having fun now. So I will try it out. I called my local EB store, since I hate waiting for the game to download. They say they have one copy of the limited edtion. Is it really worth it? How is this "cloth" map? I love collecting minitures, and from the video I saw, it's not really that big, BUT the detail looks good. So to me, the mini if bought at a store seperately is about $20 I believe. So do you think I wouild be happy with the limited edtion. I think they are selling it for $75 + taxes. So for me that would be $85

I just noticed the specs. It says a dual core 2.2 ghz. I only have a dual core 2.0 ghz 4gigs of ram, windows 7 64bit. Now I am worried the game will run slow. My laptop is an Acer Aspire 8730 with an NVidia 9600M GT graphics card. So will I be able to run the game? I see it's only $40 on impulse. So if my laptop can run the game, is there any advantage to buying the game at the store and having the box?

How is the manual? Is it a Dead Tree Format manual in the box? Is it helpfull? Is there like a "civilopidiea" for Elemental? As I was doing some research, I read there is scenarios you do?
