I was surprised when components started randomly appearing on my custom hall after dropping them into the Equipment Manifest. If I don't want my design covered in weirdly placed components I need to individually hunt then down an manually shrink and/or offset them. Some of them are quite hard to select. This is a nightmare to deal with. I must be doing something wrong. I also would like to know my attack and defense stats specific to their type (beams, kinetic, shields etc). A single Co

On a similar note, I have a hard time telling the difference between explored and unexplored space without a grid. Having more contrast between the two would be good for my eyes.
Hello. Is anyone else having issues with not receiving the completed survey outcomes? If I have multiple surveys complete in one turn I will only receive the outcome for one or two. I can see in the events list the names of the outcomes but I do not receive the choice prompt nor any benefits for all bit one or two.
Bizarre the ship designer does not display specific weapon and defensive stats - exactly what you would want to see while loading up equipment. Combat rating is too general to be useful or interesting.
Being able to select number of sectors in addition to overall galaxy size would fix most of these issues.
When using the Ship Builder, I only have a single row of equipment slots visible at the bottom of the screen. When I add more equipment items (engines, weapons, defenses etc) than there are visible slots, these the additional items are not visible and can not be selected. Are others having the same issue?
Great idea.
I have never wanted to play campaign. For me, the point is the variable challenges and opportunities presented by random sandbox galaxy generation.
I agree with the sentiment that PD should be restricted to missile defense. I wonder if having damage to shields and armor vary based on specific beam, missile, and kinetic weapon types would add interesting strategic decisions. It certainly would make a weapon tech discovery more exciting and loudout decisions more significant than simply opting for the latest in a linear series.
Or upgrade kits carried by constructor or a dedicated platform. One upgrade ship could carry multiple upgrade kits.
