Its clear there is an issue with favor points (negative, getting cleared, ect.). We know the devs are working on it, but the question is.... when its fixed, will they refund any points currently earned? I would assume the points are getting tracked server side so it doesnt seem all that unreasonable to wipe rewards and refund points. Same goes for statistics of win/loss as well as achievements. Not that big of a deal but would be nice to know :) BTW, Kudos on the connecti

I had almost 800 then it zeroed out :(
Im OK with a certain level of launch problems, but not giving any status indiciation is pretty bad form :(
Gotta confess, im pretty disappointed in the multiplayer experience so far (connecting is horrible). This is not the quality of game i would expect after seeing Sins/Galciv2. I really hope they sort this out in a short order.
I bought gal civ 2 when it first came out (its dropped in price). I thought it was like 40$? Retail GalCiv2: 40 DA: 30 Twilight: 25 So that 95$ vs 60$ for someone who picks it up today. I know i'm quibbling over 40 bucks but still :)
Let me start off by saying this is NOT a flame. I bought gal civ when it came out, i bought dark avatar when it came out and ill buy twilight when it comes out (also bought Sins). I absolutely love the game Stardock makes. However... my gripe is for early adopters :( Ultimate pack costs 60$. Stand alone DA + Twilight cost 55$. I mean, i dont mind paying for great games... but its unfortunate the bundle price is so cheap compared to what i would have paid when all is said and
Hmmm... budget cutbacks have resulted in 28.8kbps modems as standard issue. SOrry. In all seriousness... holy crap. Good job Stardock, i've been pretty happy regarding downloading the game.
Hey, i was happy that my 8meg comcast line was near saturated. I've never gotten anywhere near that speed. (google it, b is bit, B is byte) 1 Mbps = 128 KBps I have an 8 Mbps comcast line so 8*128 = 1024 KBps theoretical max. What the heck kind of connection do all you people claiming to get 1000's of KBps have? Yeesh. Certainly not cable or DSL.
Sweet :) I couldnt find anything in the message boards to indicate as such.
Planned feature? Or is it already implemented and im missing the http link? I really liked this about other strategy games :)
I'd say you guys beefed up the lines :) I snagged it in about 30 mins! Go Stardock and go Comcast (never thought i'd say that).
Thank you devs for answering this thread. I've also been experiencing some random crashes with the latest version. I'm going to install the SE per recommendation and attempt to generate the report. I actually didnt know i had a pre-release version (i have no idea whether i clicked that prelease button in stardock central or not). Either way, good information
Das Bier ist gesund, zu jeder Stund. Spiel was rar ist, Trink was klar ist, Lieb was wahr ist.
Very good point. Any other options to make the game a bit harder? I tend to just use default options (with the exception of intensive AI/CPU) Still sort of new at this game Thanks!
Could someone list me the following or tell me how to go about finding it out? Difficulty Level => Intelliegence (As a number and word) Theoretical Example: Tough => 50,Gifted I feel like theres a problem as ive upped the difficulty to Crippling and it still seems like a joke. (Not very difficult at all) I want to compare the above against both the ingame and the debug.err file. Any help appreciated <img src="http://images.stardock.com/gc2/T_DL/smiles/
Aside from Counterstrike-Source, this is the first game i've 'bought' in 3 years. If companies want to bury me under DRM / Copy Protection ill let my money do the walking. Great job on a great product. I never had even heard of GalCiv until i stumbled across this site from a MOO3 rant post
Eravenheart, good point... perhaps the coffee bean industry should send the devs a big thank you
So i see alot of good suggestions and discussions going on about the game. Not only did the developers release a product that was quite awesome, they continue to update it and make it even BETTER. I'm starting this thread to say thanks; i dont think people express this directly often enough. Your fanbase truly does appreciate all the hard work you guys and gals put in. <img src="smiles/Congrats.gif" border=0 ALIGN="abs
