Played a little GalCiv Twilight of Arnor and World of Warcraft (after a break of 7 months), but spent most of my weekend working on my iPhone game.

They were not the only ones to block it. (Its unblocked now btw) There was an DoS attack (or some varient) using that server: http://www.merit.edu/mail.archives/nanog/msg19609.html http://tech.slashdot.org/story/09/07/27/054230/ATampT-Blocks-Part-of-4chan?art_pos=7
Yeah, I was reading this on ars, a very vigorous discussion happening there. I play on a laptop alot, and it always seems that my wi-fi is always crapping out on me. Thank goodness for single player games.... er wait no more :(
I agree, I've recently shifted to only buying games digital (my main computer is my laptop, sick of lugging different CD's around) and impulse is definately faster with some download times.
Finally a good reason to use my twitter account...
Ah, feels like high school all over again.
I really need to clean up my desktop. I use fences on my Vista Laptop, should really use that on my desktop.
Yeah, I have too many hobbies as well. I just started to do some iPhone Programming in my spare time (which isn't much with working 60+ hours a week, wedding planning ect). Creating my first game outside of Flash/HTML. Oh, and I need to get back to learning German. My company is based in Pontiac, MI and actually we are about to hire a couple of people, after a couple of lousy months its a good change.
Beta... thank goodness I'm very busy with work until June. Keep me distracted!

Linksys hasn't been very reliable for me unfortunately (replaced mine and my folks, 2 routers just quit working). I switched over to DLink networking equipment and haven't had any problems at all. Using a Wireless N is the way to go. Fast and great coverage as well. I went the cheaper route and went with a Wireless N router, and attached it to a gigabit switch for my desktop and NAS. (about a year and a half ago)
Funny, I've been wanting to play the game again recently. I found the CD-Case but I haven't found the CD.
Sweet! I enjoyed playing Mythos and have been checking thier website often for any more updates. I enjoyed hellgate london too, but in the end the bugs were too much.
I hope I see the avatar wieghed down by a ton of armor an can barely walk :P
Actually, I've had to call Stardock about the email issue (gal civ 2), and it was a simple phonecall, no waiting or anything. I just watched the video from gdc, and I can say, ooooh boy I'm excited!
As I have said before. Keep more articles like this coming! I enjoy reading them and thinking about how I would go about doing something like this.
I love reading these journal and watching things evolve from concepts. Keep them coming!
We do a lot of work with Pfizer at my company. We have been expecting this for a while. This is hurting us temporarilly, but in the long run it should be better for both companies. Also the decline of the sales reps for pharmaceuticals is largely due to legislation that was passed by the US Congress in the last year limiting exposure to doctors by sales reps. (This has been happening to all top 10 pharmaceuticals) For the future this is a great move, and positi
Increasing my Karma +1.
Well I got to play for about an hour last night, and boy, the different gameplay mechanics were fun to try and figure out. I did the exact settings of a gal civ II game that I had recently played and it was definately different. I didn't crash at all, I just had some issues with hotspots when trying to click on things. So far I'm really likeing this, thank god I found an industrial planet next to a huge asteroid field <img src="http://images.stardock.com/gc2/T_DL/smiles/Tongue.gif"
Well I find that the ai is always agressive with me. I play on large maps tight clusters 6 ai on challenging, and they always are going for my territory. Also this could be because I like to ally with all of the minor races and defend thier homeplanets from the agression of the major races. For some reason the major races love to wipe these guys out. I suggest you try that approach one game, always keeps me on my toes.
Yeah sounds like an overheating issue of your card, I had similar issues with my computer that I built, and a 20" box fan from walmart (one of those all weather types) attached to the side of the machine fixed that real quick.
Since what Pharacon1 was soooo on topic.... That would be cool to get that information on demand if you wanted it. I would definately like to have a feature like that as well.
