I am terrans (blue). Here we see some sudden jolts throughout this whole game on tough. These spikes are massive and the only way this would happen if a ton of ships were built at one time then they all die. Now i circled in red the AI spikes. The green Circle is me, At this point in the game, i was building no ships (trying to get my economy going again) yet i spike up that high? Needless to say i didn't ahve to worry about anyone declaring war on me again, (except i was in co
Tototot
out of the twenty games i have played not once
didn't know this is right after the first one, if thats the case, why don't we start out on multiple planets?
would it be a balancing issue to have only the terrans start with hyperdrive? They discovered it first after all. The other races only require two weeks to research right off the bat or something like that, they already know where the planets are, terrans have to guess.
I have played five games of challenging and they came up that, but my last two games of tough have shown up Crippling and Normal
once you up grade it all the way you will start seeing the effect about values of 3 and above, military resource is VERY powerful!
I've had this happen once, but it was no biggy, i wipe the other race clean mwahahahahahahhaah
Early rush works to about challenging level, after that be prepared to be conquered by those that watched you rush another civ and while your down.
ummmm.... Why in the world would you do a Technological victory lol. It TAKES SOOO LONG! by the time you get it, you should be creaming everyone with your mighiest warships!
i have had this evil event happen on my planets about five times now, i did nothing. four or five turns afterwards it said the evil was gone, so i think this is pointless... It might be bugged
You don't need either of them, just get 2 military resources and BAM you ROCK!
I totally agree with your post, but they said they will do some tweaking to the scores later on. What fun can you have playing beginning multiple times, knowing you are going to win.
I am starting to win on challenging constantly now, here is how i start. 1. A must is to make a planet, ether earth or one you find, PURE manufacturing. The reason will be stated later. 2. Get those research techs fast. 3. Make sure you have weapon capabilities. 4. Take adavantage of the minor races while you can. 5. from the start of the game i use 60% social and 40% research. When i see that i'm in last place change those sliders and start pumping out ships
I don't think so either. On challenging, just gun for medium hull ships and biuld lots of em, AI won't mess with you for a while.
play harder then normal. They seem to respect thier advanced weaponry much more.
it all matters what you roll But you can use one transport to do a gas attack first to strengthen it, then send in the second with tradition warfare and capture the planet without loosing PQ.
yeah i got 4 lucky rangers in just a two month time span, too bad my enemies ships were huge and had huge defensees against mass drivers! I'll tell you what though, i have not yet seen this 13 PQ event happen, but it does sound to powerful. The ranger stuff though, its all part of the game. I've had a AI wipe me clean with one, I've seen struggling AI's get back into the game. I lvoe the random events.
a 26 planet with 3 factories, ha! Put 15 on that bad boy and your cranking out large ships like there is no tomorrow. There is no tomorrow for your enemies. But i have yet to see anything 18+, i someday wish i can find one of these planets!
wow i did not see those sliders before, thank you VERY much.
Now i can beat the game on Normal 99.9% of the time. Now on challenging, i can beat it 20% of the time. Average high score for Normal games = 13,000 or so Average high score (victorious) for Challenging games = 8,000 It is so much harder to beat it on challenging then it is on normal, yet, if i were in an empire and wanted to raise thier rank, i'd go just play normal games because 1) they are faster 2) they give more points. I know it took a little m
"THe minors are more likely to have really good planets since they don't colonize other planets. It also makes them more of a prize when you invade. " I have seen a minor civ on two planets before...
yeah after 8 hours of me playing straight i have to restart my computer
they have done every type of weapon possible on me, i cannot beat challenging, but on normal i wipe the AI clean off. At one point i had the best defenses possible and they didn't change weapons but i could not hold them off I have seen everything in the game it seems, every game the weapon types are different.
Remember that some races don't start with hyperdrive, therefor they cannot colonize planets right away. If you play on challenging or better they use different tatics it seems.
