I think the game is good. I find it a bit strange that the CTD on shipdesign (when the save design popup goes behind another window ) went unoticed. I got a CTD on my first design. Still, its a good game as far as I have played yet.
I havnt played much GalCiv II yet, but I would like to add some praise for CIV IV. Its the best strategy game for years
I would like to have a look at the manual, but I am currently not at my own computer (work). Is it avaiable on web?
Stardock is working with the extraction error issue. If you have problems downloading one of the folders (I had probs with the movies) then open SDC, go to the irc client, log on and go to #galciv and ask there. They can help you download this part manually as they did with me.
I agree on all accounts - MOO II is the best game ever (or at least shared no.1 with Total Annihilation) and I would like random races.
I have trouble with movies too - chaning servers did nothing for me - I am getting help from Stardock now, so I still hav a little glimmer of hope
