This type of issue is generally caused by a security (antivirus, antispyware, etc) application interfering with Impulse's download. When the downloaded (modified) file is then compared against what's on the server, it obviously fails. You will need to either add an exception/exclusion for Impulse to your security software or you will need to temporarily disable this while downloading and installing. Mike
ok, but what about transparency?
When you create a layer in DesktopX, you have the ability to give it a set opacity. Open the object properties; States tab -> Transparency -> Uniform Opacity.
for example in windows 7, the top handle of a window has a sortof transparency to it; what about something like that?
This is possible. Just make a layer that looks like a titlebar and set the opacity to wh

What specifically are you unable to open? What OS are you running and what had you installed on it? Mike
Go to Start->start search; "windows firewall" and right click the "windows firewall with advanced security" then choose "run as administrator." Under the "Inbound rules," open the "Multiplicity" rules, go to the advanced tab, and enable the radio button, "all profiles." Beyond that, do you have another firewall that might be interfering? Are these 32-bit or 64-bit machines? Mike
Thanks, appreciate it [e digicons][/e] Mike
Brian and Jason have a lot more experience with games than most people, too, which makes it interesting to hear what they have to say. [e digicons][/e] Mike
really? [e digicons]
To say he is busy is an obscene understatement [e digicons][/e] He is always on the forums though, just maybe some more than others. Mike
Yeah, and that's no where near as bad as explicitly hiding an app/game and then asking later at some point why you're unable to find it [e digicons][/e] Mike
Yeah, archiving is great, and I wished more digital downloading services did it. You can just throw those onto a cd/dvd and preserve your software forever. [e digicons][/e] CursorFX and ObjectDock are two applications our marketing department for years has chosen to keep separate from the Object Desktop package. As an Object Desktop subscriber, you are eligible for discounts, however... Mike
james2087: Could you email about your problem and reference this thread? Mike
it has *some* keys shown in the response email. Best I can tell, it only shows keys for Stardock developed products
Stardock published products, yep.
does not have keys for any non-Stardock games...There is something wrong
Actually, this is as intended. Because of the way our contracts are set up with third party publishers, we really have to take any precaution we can ot deter fraud attempts. As I suggested, however, you can access
This feature requires an account with admin access. Unfortunately when that kind of thing happens, there's really no other way around it. You might be able to trick it into running ObjectDock as one of your admin users, but that would require some third-party app intervention. One of my favorite apps, psexec, is capable of that: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb897553.aspx Mike
Serial numbers for products you've purchased (when needed) will actually be kept within your Impulse account for fraud prevention purposes. If you need to access your serial number to any product you own, just launch Impulse ( http://impulsedriven.com/impulse_setup_full.exe ), click the question mark at the top right, and click "Register a product with Impulse." From here, you can right click any product and are able to copy your serial number (which you can then paste using Ctrl+V at
Yep, at this point you can only use Stardock Central to restore archives. See this thread for a detailed guide: https://forums.stardock.com/369437 Mike
There are gift cards available that can be used as mastercard/visa cards (prepaid credit cards). You should have no trouble using something like this in our store. If you do use this route, you will want to be sure the information the financial institution has associated with that card matches up with your own information (name, billing address, etc). Mike
I've found the in-game tutorial to be good[e digicons][/e] At some point after I watched this in its entirety, I found it to be very beneficial. Mike Edit: hmmm... was I really idling in this thread that long??
who isn't? I'm thinking of something redundant;
I look forward to hearing about this. Although I don't use Kaspersky myself, I do run Fences on my win7 x64 box regularly. No complaints here. Mike
Do you have icons hidden? Right click the desktop -> View, and be sure "Show desktop icons" is enabled. Otherwise, right click on the desktop, click "Customize Desktop", click the "Web" button and be sure everything is unchecked here. Mike p.s. I'll save Neil the need to blow his own horn -- DeskScapes is great . [e digicons][/e]
Manu: Yes, this will be available in French. As long as your OS is in French, you should be good. The system is broken at the moment, but the Impulse team is working on that. Mike
