In future, if you are asking for assistance for a problem additional information about your system is important. Operating System, Processor, RAM, Graphics Card, Graphics driver version, resolution etc. General troubleshooting: https://esupport.stardock.com/index.php?/default_import/Knowledgebase/Article/View/530/175/general-ashes-tr

That is a bit of an issue. I cannot see any keyboard keys bound to zoom in/zoom out. Often RTS games use Page Up/Down but this is not the case. Currently key bindings are not user configurable. You could try a third party application to translate key presses into mouse wheel until this is implemented. For example, I use EventGhost ( http://www.eventghost.org/ ) on my media center, this could be configured to send mouse whee

It is still there, but it has been changed how it works. If you put your factories into control group(s) (Ctrl + [Number]) then they are picked up by the idle factories check, and the F2 key works. I would prefer to not have to put them into control groups to enable the idle factory shortcut, but there are some benefits to the way it works now that I do not use.
May I ask please, where can I obtain this software? I would really appreciate that! Knife Fight is a very small map. I would recommend focusing on Frigates, Cruisers with a bit of air support. You should win before your economy has established to the point where you can support the production of a Dread Launch and Dreadnought. One of the easiest ways to start the match is to start building an engineer, and send your start engineer to a nearby node to capture (I go with radioactive so I can start building quanta generators ASAP). Have the engineer const
your last gameplay and balance changes decrease game variety during start till the end of midgame because of the lag of ressources now. That slows the game down for nothing and having less possibilities.
Yes, the game is slower now. If you are playing single player, then you can increase your game speed to fastest. Although PHC and Substrate units have effectively the ballpark total HP+Shield, the PHC dreadnoughts have armour, while the Substrate do not. This would mean the PHC dreadnoughts will take less damage than Substrate. Constructors (currently) repair the hulls of nearby substrate units. Some players prefer playing as Substrate, they have their strengths.

A couple of engineers/constructors can capture a fully creeped out relay just by walking in and building a couple of smarties/annihilators, they heal each other so there isn't any problems with the creeps tickling their feet. This doesn't mean you should, it is slow, and sending in a real strike force to clear it out is much faster. I do not see any issue with engineers/constructors being able to capture nodes. Taking this away would even further reduce the number of choices y

Will Engineers/Constructors still heal each other or will this be changed also? Adding the Quantum Relay as a pre-requisite to build the Orbital Fabricator will push the Repair and Drone bays to later in the game. It might be worth considering to change the Repair Bay pre-requisites to the Quantum Relay.

This is asking way to much, but would it be possible down the line to have a "Custom AI", configurable in the game menu with sliders for the various factors, personality drop down menu and check boxes for disabling things like orbitals and air etc. This could allow players who find "difficulty X" too easy, and "difficulty Y" too difficult to find their right balance without having to add extensive amounts of AI levels.

I would definitely not recommend playing against Insane AI. As it's name suggests it is not for sane or proper people. There does appear to be a massive difference between Beginner and Easy difficulties. It might make sense to have an additional AI difficulty level between beginner and easy ("Very easy"?) to smooth out the learning curve. Beginner AI: Metal: 0.5 Radioactives: 0.5 Build: 0.25 Research: 0.5 <
