Actually a special version of DesktopX or Object could make a good CD/DVD covermount with PCPlus- a UK PC mag. Stardock could negotate a deal with them.

And what about the command for quit, on the Maciontosh it's cmd+q, win.-alt+f4.
Or how about a mix of the mac os look and some xp look. Or write your own shell in vb or deplhi.
How easy is it to get permission from a company, not an indvidual artist?
what about Apple? i need to get the permission frpm them. before i put the credit in.
http://www.windowplanet.net http://uk.f209.mail.yahoo.com/ym/ShowLetter?MsgId=2679_1630671_173024_1245_575_0_4957&YY=43468&inc=25&order=down&sort=date&pos=0&view=&head=&box=Inbox
Jafo, I did get permission, all I had to do was to put a link to the site where i got them from in a readme file.
But I got peremission from a site whuich has some Windows icons download.
Many images are copyrighted-eg. Star Wars images, Spider Man pictures and Star Trek pictures to name a few.
Or, for some different icons. try windowplanet.net- theire icon set hjas 98/ME/2000 and XP .icl files. I even got permission to use them in programs.
Well, I have an example: Aqua-Apps are applications that look like ones in OS X. And they look so close to the Mac OS X applications. See: http://www.aqua-soft.org/header1.html- look at the screenshots. http://www.aqua-soft.org/Resources/AFBigShot.jpg
Well, is the National Privacy Principles, in somes ways similar to COPPA about cpllection personal info?
Well, Jafo any p;lans to write to the IIA outline why Austeralian chioldsren need the COPP[A: 1. So they don't meet peadophiles 2. There has been laws about ponigraphym, but not collevcting data from minors 3. So US and Ayustralia can have the same privacy rights.
Well, Chosen infinges on my progrsam's visual interface colors (even if they are standard win. colors)
Would it be ok if I called a program MyWindowsFX? Can we have a page at Stardock's website listing Stardock's trademarks, like most other sites may have and a guidline for trademark usage?
OK, here's my Findetr menu layout: Babya Menu, File,Edit,View,Special, Help.
Us Australians now can by it $100 less than a Sony PS2 (apoligies yo IBM-PS/2 is the name of old IBM and a mouse port)
Is the a opytion of displaying the $19.95 feee in yiur local currency, if you''re not in the US- like Australia (the dollar is stringer now).
I OWN the copyright to a Finder GUI, not Apple-it has been like it since September 2001, when I first started on writing one.
Babya System: Hint: Use the launcher access some of the Windows accessories.
I use IconForge 4.9-go it legally from PC Answers (UK mag).
Weel this screenshot of soon to be released version: http://www.customize.org/details/14532 Instead of the Go menu item in OSX-I call it Quick Access.
So, would I own the copyright if I have produced a Finder GUI for Windows- I've changed the go menu to quick access for example.
