I think the fact that Stardock is so timely - and OPEN via the special site used for beta testing - with its regular game updates is one of the main driving forces for sales in addition to the "no copy protection" thing. I guess both are really a breath of fresh air among the smog created by other competing companies. I'll take the time here to mention again that their IRC support and community is also a strong point of the company.

I forgot to mention that Frogboy said that one would have to create a new game to see the fix in effect.
I was informed in IRC that this will be addressed in the next build. Thanks to all in IRC that addressed the issue. For those of you that haven't been the Stardock IRC channel it IS a helpful place to get answers quickly.
Is nobody else experiencing this same problem? If not, how do you do your ship upgrades so this does not happen?
Here is the bug I think I have found - I suspect it is not a feature: 1. I click on "upgrade" to modify a custom ship. 2. After I make changes to the ship I click "save." 3. The interface prompts me with an amount to upgrade existing ships (this only shows up if I have existing ships, to my knowledge) 4. The amount is paid and the interface leaves the screen 5.
