I got my Compaq Presario from Sams Club for $600 17 Inch Pure Flat CRT 120GB Hard Drive 9 IN 1 Memory Card Reader 512mb ddr ram dvd/cdrw combo Sams club has all the presarios that are being sold elsewhere beat pricewise. Oh and another thing ... I hate rebates ... why cant they give it to us in the first place. Its like theyre borrowing money from us in the amount of a full price , then paying it back.

And I just got done playing another few hours of NHL 2005. No lockups. Had one graphical glitch tho that didnt go away from exiting the game and restarting it. Rebooting the machine took care of it. Yraq I am taking your word for this! I trust you. Of course I cant hold you liable for any advice you give me that goes bad

Cant afford to do that, when I have a 2 yr extended warranty from Compaq. Dont wanna trash the PC , I removed the card and are gonna send it back for something with a 250w Power Spec Here is the supposed Rails you are looking for +12 = 14a +5v = 25a +3.3v = 18a -12V = 0.8a +5VSB = 2A (Peak 2.5A)

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm I dont understand the math. But I found this on my power supply +5V & +3.3V = 165W MAX +5V & +12V = 218W MAX. Hrrm ... Im wondering whether I should return this for a card that fits the specifications.

I just bought an EVGA e-Geforce FX 5200 128MB Light Edition and it said requires min of 300 watts for the power supply. However my research on the web showed that a majority of the FX5200 cards sold today only requires a 250 watt power supply. My supply is 250 watts. I played NHL 2005 on full detail (minus the antiailsing I dont use that anyways I mean if it plays without it , it plays without it right ? ) And ... I encountered no Lockups.

This is definently a hardware issue , you say it writes at 16x? This sounds like one of the older cd-burners and you may want to purchase a new one from Newegg. Burners are dirt cheap there. You can find a quality burner for about 30.00 I reccomend the ASUS Quie-Trak Burner. It is ultra quiet. And Very Reliable. Comes with the awesome Nero burning rom as well as ASUSDVD as a bonus! never go into a retail store and buy a burner. Its a big ripo

I think webroot spysweeper is too sensitive on its scanning engine. It reports legit things as spyware. Pest Patrol is even worse. EDIT Is spysweeper a webroot product? I tried one from Webroot and didnt like it.

Remember the Terminator 3 desktop that was released ? Well , I had a Similar problem. I had installed that THEN i installed Windows Blinds. Well , not only did it cause lots of problems, I was seeing stop errors so often , its like its going out of style and windows wants to be noticed. And by the way , WindowBlinds is NOT A PIECE OF WORTHLESS SOFTWARE! Just because you had a problem with it doesnt mean that others are not going to like it.</f

Automatic update functionality was restored when I manually installed the updates from the Windows Update site. But this situation was weird. I can just see the amount of problems that are flowing through Windows Longhorn right about now. (Although im one to upgrade when microsoft releases a new O/S in the stores )

On IE , when you are on the save as dialog box , you are given two options for file types .zip and All Files. Select All files from the drop down and add the .wmz extension on the end. When its done downloading , open the the skin and tada! Its installed.
