pre ordering and the beta

The open beta for preorders is closed, so the only people that have it now are those that got it before it closed and those who've been chosen for the private release candidate testing. Don't despair though, as the game will be out in less than a month (and besides, the last available public beta build pales in comparison to the final release version).

as far as i know the game has a high learning curve, no way to get a head start on this ?
i have tried the first games demo, but getting to the point of actual combat is difficult given the time limit.

im not sure what a private relace canadite is, but im assuming that you mean, those that are out are out till street date.

i pre ordered under the impresion that id get to play the game soon, this is not true. is it possible to simply change my order to the privious version ?

Kes Scardi, Your impressions of getting the game soon are correct, If you can have the patience to wait untill late February you will then be the proud owner of the commercial release of Galactic Civilizations II.

You miss under stand me, Vetran Ryan. perhaps it is a lack of information. I am mentaly ill and do little else but play games. waiting a month for this was not in the plan, and is of much dismay to me. (molten core sucks now, also emphisis on dismay, um, spelling aside, i screw that up often enough)

and yes, i have looked for a leaked version, only to find demos for other game slated to arrive before (a very good one at that) before gc2, but still a ways away. and if it was releaced today, i would change plans imideatly
