Shipping Cost

Hi all

I was thinking of pre-ordering the cd-version of Galciv II. But when I try to preorder it at the stardock shop they don't mention the shipping cost.

I live in The Netherlands so obviously that's where it has to be shipped to
So if anyone knows the shipping costs it would be greatly appreciated

Ah, ok

I was getting kinda worried because the other 3 pre-order shops either didn't ship outside US or had a 30 dollar shipping fee to get it to the Netherlands...

But if it's $10 then it's ok. I want those extra goodies and ship upgrades

I got another question:

Everywhere I read you say that GalCiv II is going to be $40 and also at the other preorder sites it's also $39,99, yet in your own shop it's $44? Why is that?

Just curious, gonna buy the game anyway

We have to charge slightly more than retail.  But on the other hand, direct purchase has the benefit of automatically being in our system so that even two years from now, you can come back and re-download.  If there's any GalCiv I players, they can tell you about that.

People who purchase it at retail can get the same benefit but have to register it and such.

Retail has to have the CD, packaging, shipping, stocking, etc. And Stardock has a database and a

server (already in place for other games). 

I'd love to hear how all that works. 

I'm just glad I'm a TotalGaming.net sub.    GC2 looks awesome Brad.

Ah ok, I get it.

I'm just happy it's dollars, it's always a pleasant surprise when you convert it to Euro's

For example: GalCiv II + Extra Stardock Cost + Shipping Cost = $55 = €46

Which is still cheaper then the standard newly released game around here...
