Could someone explain the atlantarain Prophecy a bit more clearly?

I was never able to get it...hope the GC2 Campagin can explain it..but whatever..

Mkay From what i know the precursors are responsable for the universes current Shape and, they split up and then killed each other? im not so clear on it could someone explain, I really hate when i miss somthing Virtually vital to somthing...
