Metaverse submissions

As you're all busily working away on the other items I posted in my 'Top 3' here is another one:

Submitting scores to the Metaverse must work from behind Linksys Cable/DSL routers! I can play all sorts of games from behind the router but submitting to the Metaverse at the end of a long game just doesn't work.

What is happening in the submit code I don't know. Is it using some weird port number to talk to the backend server? If so perhaps it should be sent via HTTP rather than some other port number. At least port 80 is pretty much garanteed to work. A nice little Web Service could collect the scores posted. :-)

I have no problem submitting to the Metaverse from behind a Linksys Cable/DSL router. No special setup and not in dmz.

Well I can only post it would appear if I remove the box so I don't know what is going on. I've finished several games but my score never seems to update yet I know my machine has an internet connection. :-(
