Metaverse Scoring Question

I am not sure about my calculations, but since what I found a difference (only 10K and not 20K), I will post it anyways to explain the mecanism:
the scores at put in bloc of 30 days, in each bloc the raw total is divided by the square root of the number of games and there is a 5% aging factor per month

It appears that the lack of submission in january explain the decrease of the score.

I will be happy to know where my calculations are false since I don't see a 20K decrease and I don't retreive J.T.Querk current score.

I posted this a month or so ago and the calc works fine for me.

Thanks Jaws, I foud the flaw: it is 30-days bloc until the days 150. After it is 70-days bloc. So the calculations are:

the empires score droped from 398815
...........................to 378860

none of the others in the empire have been playing as long as i have so I thought the the drop in the score would mainly be from me

either way i still think it sucks that my score drops by 16907.even after submitting a 60,000 game ... the way I look at it... is that my score actually droped by 76,907 .. Sheesh talk about taking the empire backwards instead of forwards... whats more.. i'm even out of the top 25 players..

on my players stats screen my Score: 324348
on the top player list its .. Score: 382341

I'd be interested to know what the best stratage is to reduce the degridation of scores.. I thought that by just playing no more than 4 games a month that it would reduce the degridation.. on loosing this amount i'd hate to imagine what ebz, and other top crankers/players drop by..

at the moment it looks like i'm going to have to play 1-2 games / month extera just to cover the degridation

What is really killing you score is that you havn't posted anything between the 12/21/03 and the 2/6/04. So you have 47 days period with no submission. So you have a block with no point, and this is not good.

Due to this gap, if you post a 60K the 03/06/04, you will have 401273 points. But if you post it the 03/07/04, you will have 442196 points due to the fact that 1 game will be in the 30-60 dyas block.

By the way, for empire purpose, the aging is 5% per month. For personnal score purpose, it is 10%

Its the other way round, 10% Empire score and 5% personal metaverse score

Let me see I am correct:
- we have 5 % for the personnal metaverse score, the one used for ranking players
- we have 10% for the calculation of the score that appears with the list of the games and that is used for the empire.

JT Qwerk, the 10% aging give the following scores:
02/14/04: 345249
03/01/04: 324347
So your empire has taken a 20K loss due to your submission and the fact that you have a 47 days periods without submission.

that 47 days of no submitions was due to calciv crashing constantly on me.. but it seems ok now.. after fresh d/load and install
