Wish I was. Brought home 2 projects that are pushing deadlines next week. Probably spend my mornings trying to tie up some of their loose ends. Then use the afternoons to catch up on yardwork. Weather's supposed to be pretty nice, sunny and 70 saturday & 75 sunday. How bout you SD. You gonna get out and enjoy that Chicago weather?

We are supposed to get 3 inches of snow on Sunday and tonight is supposed to be 14 degrees F. I think I'll be doing some cooking and playing with PSP9.

I know, I caught a little WGN last night.
Wish I could buy some time for working on some some long delayed blinds.
Have a good weekend.

I actually had planned on going out on Lake Michigan this weekend on my Whaler (she keeps calling to me that she's being ignored) (this is a boat, folks) but just in the last 24 hours we got quite a bit of ice in the harbor.

I share your pain. After the three hurricanes my boat was trapped in the back yard by all the downed trees. By the time I was able to get it out, it had sat so long I wouldn't run it until I had the impeller and bottom end done. Then business got really heavy and kept me working weekends. Unless my wife was in the hospital, I had gone every week for 30 years until this summer. Now I've missed many, many weekends.

Studying in CorelDRAW with Mormegil's Icon-A-Day tutorials now that I have some free time during the weekend as well as enjoying the Sunny 40 - 50 degree weather we are supposed to have here in Seattle.

...Seattle sounds good, too. I could create the Japanese garden of my dreams if I lived there.

True,

Excellent environment for Japanese gardens.

In fact, when I was running the Children's Aikido program, we used to do a demonstration on "Children's Day - Japan" at the Washington Park Arboretum's Japanese Garden.

A fantastic garden which included a nice grass area beside a miniature lake surrounded by cherry trees and other common flora found in Japanese gardens, enhanced furthur by a small stream complete with foot path bridge.

The families would sit around the outer portion of the grass area in the sunshine while the kids performed a number of "Hitori Waze" (one person exercises), some rolling and falling techniques, and of course some attacks and throws, along with a bit of weapon techniques performed by the Children's instructors.

It was truly fun, and the weather always seemed to accomodate the day in May.

...and then there is the futari waza with the fairer sex that can be enhanced by a full moon on a splash of white lillies and Blue Fuscus grass under a Japanese Magnolia in bloom.
