A little history....

Back in the 1870's there were around 5000 breweries in North America. A hundred years later that number was down to a few dozen....read Budweiser, Miller, Coors and the like....not really what I'd call top-notch beer actually swill comes to mind. Today there are over 500 breweries, microbreweries and brewpubs here now, thanks to changes in laws and people's tastes

For the populous that IS of age in their country, what's your beverage of choice to wind you down after having a tough go of a day.

Mine is Redhook ESB or Guinness

For the populous that ISN'T of age or have a different sort of beverage that soothes their nerves or quenches their thirst, I'd like to hear about that too

A nice Chai Latte works here too

I used to to drink Guiness back in the olden times but these days it's just water, OJ or lashings of tea

Although I can't find it around here anymore, my favorite was Löwenbräu, the imported one from Munich not the poor excuse Miller (or whoever it was) made for a while.
Now it's likely to be Becks or Negra Modelo.

Icey cold milk! And for a small bit of caffine...Twinings' Earl Grey....hot!

/me thinks cows are one of God's best creations....they produce this awesome tasting fluid called milk.....they taste delicious when eaten...they provide fine leather....and fertilizer!!!!! Holy Cow!

Love Guiness on tap. I've had Wittbread ale in a can with that little rocket thing. Pretty good.

What I drink depends on mood and situation.
For beer I like Old Milwakee if I'm visiting and plan on having a few. Good flavor and not too heavy. On occasion I'll have Big Rock Traditional Ale. A very good dark ale by a local microbrewery.

Wine with meals of course. In the evening I like sipping Martini & Rossi sweet red vermouth on ice. Kind of gentle. When I don't want gentle, there ain't nuthin' like Jack Daniels.

Hmmm. That much detail probably indicates I have issues! oh well.

Hard Stuff.....TnT (Tanqueray, lotsa ice, wave the tonic bottle over the glass and add a twist) Used to drink Cuervo Gold....shots....but it makes me evil-stupid

Or Jack and Coke, Weller and Ice, I am not much for Beer as Defined by American Markets. I like Guiness, Bass, Red Stripe for Ales and Beer.
wine I preffer Muscadine wine, or ScupperDine. Good old Corn whiskey will do in a pinch, Platte Valley in a Mason Jar or something Real from Tennessee or The Upper Carolina Mountains. Crystal Clear and packing a wallop like a Stubborn Mule.

Hmmmmmmmm. I've been brewing my own stuff. It's always different each time. A real adventure. However, while brewing I like to sip on Guiness and Red Ale. Mixed. Called Black and Tan. I gave up on Mississippi Mud. (Or spell it) Could never find it. >
