Navigation and Music...Sure...

Movies in the front seat...maybe... (provided the car is not moving)

XP Pro on an embedded computer that takes more Horsepower to move than a 500lb desktop...Conceiveable...Practicality is another question...

"Itsa me, Mario!" while you sit in that 5-mile long traffic jam on your way to work at 6:30am... "Psychiatric ward, we have an escaped patient..."

And you thought playing Pac-Man on your itty-bitty cell phone was distracting...

, you should play driver or carmengaddon on it

Hopefully when this "genius" crashes his car while computing/driving, he'll only get himself killed instead of some innocent bystander or motorist. >

i like the idea of using that when you're stuck in a traffic jam, or for your kids on a long trip. but take a survey and find out how many people use it wisely screens should be allowed only in the back seats to eliminate that threat.

almost got knocked off the road recently by an idiot lady on her cell phone who couldn't drive the downhill turns in bala cynwyd while staying in her lane, or even on her side of the road. last thing we need is someone distracted by a tv screen.

i myself am drawn to tv screens like a fly to a light. dunno what it is, might be because i don't watch tv at home. if there are others out there like me i know they won't be able to resist trying to watch finding nemo and drivign at the same time.

side note - my old man's got GPS in his car - but it talks to him, so he doesnt have to look at the screen.

"Turn Left, .5 Miles"....."Upcomming Left Turn, 200 feet". "Turn Left now at Hartel Street".

oh, i wanna get a computer, one of those smaller ones with a 10" pullout lcd in my car, but one big problem i need a car first.

Whoa great idea. I would find the navigator tool useful.

HG_Eliminator ... I couldn't agree more. Car customization is just like another form of skinning IMO. Just trying to make it better/prettier/nicer whatever. If you read the posts he has also skinned the GUI to match his interior. Pretty cool I think.

I can just imagine taking my girl shopping and haveing 4 or 5 hours of parkinglot bliss instead of walking anound a mall or market like a puppy on a leash *are we done yet*
