There are a couple things that I think could be improved and would help those playing (as I do) on very big galaxies.

1. In my current game I tried doing the Dread Lords challenge. I was careful not to attack more than one Revenge fleet at a time, but that wasn't the problem. The Dread Lords fleets are colored red, while other factions have fleets, etc. colored red, orange, etc. This made locating the fleets rather tiresome. Not a huge problem but I think unnecessary.

2. When trying to find trading partners to obtain certain strategic resources (which I was doing when trying for certain prestige challenges), when there are 20+ other factions in the game, it's a bit of a chore to check each one to see if maybe they have helios ore, for example. I think this could be streamlined --- for instance by selecting something you want (resource, tech, whatever) and clicking a button to show which factions if any have some. This would save a lot of hunting and pecking, perhaps.

Minor issues really to improve the ratio of 'fun time' to 'busy work time'.

Hey Bamdorf,

what indicators do you think would be fitting for Dread Lords? They are traditionally red, so if there are other civs with that color, overlapping is indeed possible.

When I want to trade specific resource, I usually use the arrows to switch between civs, without leaving the diplo menu. It does streamline the process a bit.

Thanks I am sure I can't generally be trusted to be up on the best methods. It's the down side of advanced age LOL. I will try out your suggestion, I am sure it will help.

As far as the dread lords, I am thinking maybe just a button, accessed from the Dread Lord indicator at the top left of the screen. It locates the dread lords immediately. This can be readily rationalized as tuning one's telescopes to be sensitive to their ships. Or perhaps just put a circle around them. Finding them shouldn't be the issue at the stage where they can be engaged. Since one can auto locate an asteroid field or a colonizable planet this way, it could be done in a similar fashion. Perhaps this could be another research target, but I think that is overkill, as by this point a galactic civilization should be tech savvy to find them.

It's not a huge thing, but whenever I am reduced to hunting and checking, I get a bit frustrated.
