I parked a ship at a mining base to repair and now I can't get it to depart. Ejecting ships doesn't work nor does clicking on the ship and giving it an order to move.
Hello there! Can you confirm if this is still an issue under the new insiders build update?
I had the same problem a week or two ago.

This was still an issue with the latest Insider's Build version
Yesterday, I had to decommision my Starbase to free up my stuck Commander ship, which was garrisoning the starbase.
Yep, two months later and I can confirm the same bug is in there EVEN AFTER the big update for the steam Christmas Sale.... DEVS you can replicate this issue my loading up the cosmic containment mission and dock the "Pest Mother" transport ship at a starbase - it will get stuck there as part of the damn base about half the time, seemingly at random. I am like 10 hours into a complicated game and my game is f--k because of this... I literally waited TWO years to buy this game as I thought that would be enough time to fix all the bugs.
Looks like I need to go back to waiting 3-4 years.

Why would you dock the transport at a Starbase? I can understand a Shipyard or a Planet but there is never a reason to dock any ship at a starbase.
One possible reason is if the transport is part of a fleet that is stationed at the Starbase to defend it against attack. However, the issue here is not whether the player can come up with a good reason why they want to position a transport at a Starbase, the question is why the game does not let him move the ship from the starbase. I believe a reasonable person would expect to be able to move the ship from the Starbase after it had healed.
On further thought I think OPs transport does not have a passenger so the ship can not leave the base
Check to see if you transport has a soldier/ passenger just need to select the ship. If it doesn't that is why you cannot leave the SB
I would still like the ability to move around empty transport/colony ships to ferry population between planets. colony ship is still consumed founding a new colony, but then have another ship run people out to the new colony and return empty. This would also make it easier to move unwanted pops off a captured planet, etc.
Sounds like a good idea.
Unfortunately it is not how it is ATM.
Docking a transport auto unloads the required passenger. The starbase "eats" that passenger and now your ship is in Hotel California.
It is a nasty bug.
Not a necessarily a bug, might be a bad design choice, or might be a good feature that needs "no ship docking on SBs" to make perfect.
Sometimes you just need to hide from the nasty space monsters and pirates on the way to colonizing a new world . Deep Space 9 is the only thing out there until you can get a fleet headed that way.
