Conquering Planets.

Just got GalCiv IV.  Getting to grips with it...

I'm a homemade synthetic Yor type species.  I conquer a planet.  It is full of organic unhappy citizens.  They're VERY unhappy.  Mostly because their own AI government foolishly picked a fight with me, while at the same time overpolluting.  And now their problems are mine.  It seems there is nothing I can do about them.  They won't leave on their own, and I can't seem to kick them out, or exterminate them.  Yes, ethic cleansing is bad IRL, but the whole point of being synthetic is that I don't have to deal with this crud.  My whole civilization is based on not needing food for example.  Their planets are almost completely unproductive because of their unhappiness.

It's ruining the game....  Advice??

Load them up on colonizers or transports.  You can then use the colonizers to colonize planets and use the transports to invade enemy worlds or just decommission them to make them go away.

New problem.  Rushed colony ships just sit there in the shipyard.  I can't get them to load up or leave.  Ejecting ships does nothing.

Look at the citizens you have on the planet.  You need to have at least two that are not in revolt (one for the colony ship and one to stay behind on the planet).  You can tell if a citizen is in revolt by looking  at their "happiness" icon.

Same turn as rushed or next?

Rushed ships do not appear to load till next turn.

Thank you for your quick reply.  This applies next turn.  And the turn after that...

OK that might be it, thank you.  So the first problem remains.  I can't do anything with a conquered planet.  No way these citizens are ever going to be happy enough to board a transport as I just don't have enough food in my civilization...  What's the point of being synthetic??

You could also imprison them.
