Some more feedback on v 1.65
On removing Citizen of constructors – I think this was a bad idea – Computer opponents seems to spam aggressively constructors.
Clarity needs for game:
--- On difficulty levels, on game creation we need to understand all the bonuses and negatives to AI opponents for each level. How is bright different from genius. Suggest mouse-over pop up.
--- Explain better how defenses in star ship combat help survivability. Otherwise why not just build weapons
Suggestions for improvement:
---Have a tech that allows you to build 5 constructor modules at a time. One module at a time is very tiresome mid to late game
--- Need better graphic in star base combat – I have a 4090 and more than half the time star bases don’t appear in combat (visually in the UI)
---Make planetary upgrades that create tiles be able to be placed anywhere. I know that some can and others are more “limited” on where the time upgrade can be placed, but when you get tech like habitat improvement or terriformer – let them create tiles anywhere on the planet – don’t limit them.
--- All weapons have mass size 5?? This might be just a place holder – but you need to have different mass sizes for different types of weapons. Also – improving tech levels should be able to shrink these.
--- Battleships and dreadnaughts still have too few of “space” for weapons and improvements. From what I saw late game, 43 slots for Cruiser, 51 for battleships, 59 for dreadnaughts. We are only talking 1 or 2 weapons different between the different types. Make battleships and dreadnaughts truly powerful and hold like double the previous slots (86 for battleships, 129 for dreadnaughts). Otherwise – why not just builder cruisers – they hold about the same weapons with no movement penalty……..
---Can we have a detection upgrade for starships that helps improve sensor range – I’m not talking the probe module – but something that gives like +2 for each level of improvement – make them be like 1 mass each.
Bugs:
---One time burst of knowledge event seems to do the opposite of giving a bonus.
---When you upgrade your flagship with special tech like jammer or integrity disruptor, it should show when you mouse over the combat rating but it doesn’t
---Flagships still seem to lose the upgrades given to them by relics when you reload a game.
--- Star bases still too easy to destroy – what’s the point of all these defenses with 1 cruiser can destroy them….
