One of the tedious parts of the late game is having to perform the same task over and over again on a set of fleets. For example,
if you look at the screen snapshot below, I have setup a blockade on a Subspace Gate. On each turn, I am going to go to each one of my fleets and use a missile attack on the enemy ships/fleets that are sitting on the Subspace Gate. Then, if I have killed all of the enemy ships on the Subspace Gate, I am going to go through each of my fleets againg and click on the Sentry button. If I have not killed all of the enemy ships I am going to have to click on the Pass button on each of my fleets before I can go to the next turn.
My suggestion is to allow the player to use the cursor to draw a box around a group of ships/fleets to select them all and then give a command for all of them to perform. For example, I could draw a box around the fleets in the screen snapshot then click on the missile attack button then click on the stack of ships on the Subspace Gate. The game would then do automatically what I now have to do manually and perform sequential missile attacks on the enemy ships stacked on the Subspace Gate. With my fleets still selected I could then click on the Sentry or Pass button to finish. This enhancement would save a lot of tedious clicking and ease my Carpal Tunnel Syndrome!
