Custom Race

example there is Trandal or Tywom animated photo thats moving i wanna custom moving photo my custom race...how i can add it or what kind of file format need it to work? (sry my english not really good) i hope understand it what is asking for.....

so i geuss nobody reply,so only just png photo added custom race.....there is no way to add gif. or ani animated moving file format....

Try the GC4 channel on Discord as that is where the Kool Kids hangout. 

However, you need to be patient as not everyone there would know what you are asking, and those that do might just be busy with things like a job or family obligations so not monitor the channel 24/7.

If you do go to the GC4 Discord, there is a group of sub channels dedicated to modding. That is where to ask your questions.

I'm not certain that there is a way to upload an animation for custom races. I will see what I can do to find out and will get back to you with an answer when I'm able!

We only support png and dds for custom portraits for civs.

and what file format use the main races? animated png or what?

The videos are in the .bk2 format.  You can read about here.  They offer a free tool to convert video from other formats into the older .bik format.

It is possible to use videos in the older .bik format by changing the extension from .bik to .bk2.  I'm not sure how stable that is.
