I have noticed this going back many versions, but I wanted to post it to make sure it is on your list of things to do.  In the upper left-hand corner of the main screen the game shows what you are currently researching and how many turns it should take to complete that research.  The first screen snapshot below shows that I am researching "Flexible Bulkheads" and it should take 14 turns to complete.  However, when I go into the Research Center screen it shows that it will take 4 turns to complete "Flexible Bulkheads" (second screen snapshot below).

The correct number is 4 so something is not working correctly on the main screen.  Please have one of your devs take a look at this.
