That's right. I should have thought about that one. I use it all the time for a viewer, but forgot about it's editing abilities.

I located something called Project Dogwaffle, and if you can get past the name-it has some fairly powerful features. Like the GIMP, it will take some playing around with to get used to.Check it out!

You probably want to get the GIMP from: http://www2.arnes.si/~sopjsimo/gimp/. You need to download and install gtk before you can install the gimp. If you downloaded a file directly from gimp.org, you probably got the linux source code.

I highly ercommend the GIMP. It really is just as good as Photoshop. Extremely powerful. Unless you want to do some print jobs (GIMP doesn't support CMYK colours), or unless you want to get a job in the industry (where Photoshop is a standard), you will never need another graphic editor once you master your skills in the GIMP.
There are not many freeware apps that are just as good as any commercial ones, but this is one of them. There are also some excellent tutorials to help you through. But the key here is time and practice. But then again, that's tru for any application, aven and especially Photoshop as well.

better wait for GIMP 2.0.
it supports CMYK and the new UI will be easier to understand for Windows users.
of course it´s far away from being as good as Photoshop, but better than PaintShop Pro for sure.

You only need to hit the "Submit" button once

I just recently downloaded Camstudio, haven't used it yet except for a glimpse at it, but I believe it can do what you are asking.
