the cure for *.logonxp problems

I could not load any *.logonxp files into the program. The program would just ignore the action.

Here's the cure:
example: mytheme.logonxp

1.) rename *.logonxp to *.zip
example: ren mytheme.logonxp mytheme.zip

2.) extract the zip file to mytheme\
i used winRAR, but any unzipping program will work

3.) move mytheme\ directory to the install directory
mine installed to
"C:\program files\wincustomize\logonstudio"
so mytheme is now
"c:\program files\wincustomize\logonstudio\mytheme"
or where ever you specify the themes to be located from within the program.

voila.. open up the program and click "refresh" and they will be there .. functioning just fine..

its really not as much work as it seems. I can't believe stardock wants to charge money for its programs, when they are quite buggy like this.

i hope this helps.

You don't have to do this. It should do it automatically. And ask other ppl about it before you criticize Stardock. They work very hard to make SURE their programs work well. What OS are you using? And maybe it was just that logon.

Do you think you paid too much for it?

People think they need to put their logonxp files in a zip,...... at one time the site was renaming the zip extension to logonxp. The result was the original logonxp file inside a logonxp file. When you try to load one of these, the program extracts the original to a folder. All you really have to do is select load again, and browse to that folder, and double click the logonxp file inside.
