ObjectDock and Show Desktop - I need a little help

I am using ObjectDock and one of the icons I have on my bar is the Show DeskTop icon. But it does not work right in the ObjectDock bar. 9 times out of ten when I click it, whatever program is currently on the screen stays on the screen and the top bar of the program turns grey (put in the background). So it doesnt actually minimize everything and go to the desktop. If I have it on the regular StartBar it works fine. Anyone else have this problem? Anyone have a solution? It has been bugging me to death! >

I am having the exact same problem. Sometimes the show desktop will work and not other times.

I would really appreciate a little help with this.

Well, I TRY this. Sometimes it works, sometimes I get the same problem. This doesn't matter what version of Windows you have as long as you haven't deleted this file. Do a search for *.scf files. Look for one that says show desktop or something. Link that into ObjectDock. Like I said, sometimes this works, sometimes you have to click twice, and sometimes it doesn't work at all. Hope I can help.

Hi

I have done what you said Xendre, the point is that sometimes this works and not others. Does everyone have this problem ? I have to have a working "show desktop" button, as I am so used to pressing it.

Any help would be really appreciated.

did you try adding the registry key value for showing the desktop to the properties of the Dock Item (where you change the icon used)?
