I like the app, but the actual updates to existing packages & creation of new packages is more of a trickle these days...

I love IconPackager and change it every time I change WindowBlinds.  It's true there are few packages introduced these days; however, there are so many great ones already listed on WinCustomize that you should be able to find a style that works.  I currently have 67 styles available on my computer.

I think IP is great software but I seldom use it to replace system icons. I have a tendency to use the same icons that i like with the exception of dock icons. This is where IP comes in handy for me. I will use it to recolor an Icon package and then save them in my icon folder to use with my docks. Also sometimes i just want to reference the names of the individual icons so i will open IP to preview the icons which gives the name. The live folder thing is not a big deal for me because like I said I keep the same system icons and only change dock icons.

I love Iconpackager- and am even using the older packages  .    I can't be without it  and wish I was permitted to use it at my company computer!

Will IP5 change the TaskBar icons and other shell icons yet?

My apologies for asking this here, Spencer, but do you know if IconPackager already removes the Iconhandler sub-key in HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\exefile\shellex upon uninstall even if the default Windows icons have not been restored?

Reason I'm asking is because leaving that sub-key orphaned causes the infamous blank icons issue. Not sure why, but sometimes Explorer does not get affected by this, but Winstep applications are - and then guess who users, some of whom don't even remember having installed IconPackager before, blame for the issue? Some of the users affected by this problem will contact Winstep support and I can give them a fix (which is as simple as deleting the Iconhandler sub-key from the Registry), but faith in quick and prompt support being at an all time low these days, I suspect most users don't even bother, assuming instead that Nexus/Xtreme is buggy.
