Okay, I've got 118MB of the 366MB multimedia file(s) :) la la la la ... *getting out headphones* *sigh* I hate playing cards for 36 hours straight...

I'm not sure if I have everything yet, because I don't know -- really -- how this is being organized and stored.

So, big huge question: what should I do to be sure I don't have to spend another four days downloading? Could someone give me a little organization chart --kinda, sorta -- of what is on my computer, where, and how I can best protect it? Like, can I burn a cd? I tried to save stuff before I reformatted my hard drive, but I went instantly stupid and ended up with nearly empty file folders, like when I first got on a puter... puh.

When you get done downloading, you can use Stardock to "backup" Galciv and all related files. You could then copy this backup to a CD I think.

Please forgive my ignorance. My brain is in a wheelchair. I, on the other hand, am brilliant and very kewl. I just have to work a bit harder to understand what my brain doesn't get. (mercury poisoning)

Could someone tell me just "how" to back up these files on cd? I am using a cd in my drive as a "save to" option so I can store the stuff I write and all the neat stuff I find at NoNags.

I *thought* I had GalCiv on cd, and indeed, some stuff in the folder was burned, but not what I needed to avoid a new download.

I'm not getting the "archiving" process. I don't mind being dependent on Stardock Central, I'm just trying to avoid days online downloading.

If I archive these files are they *somewhere* and handled differently than just installing them into the Stardock folder?
