Patch 2.03 causing crash?

Haveing a few proble with my gal civ 2 ultimate edition.

1. Purchase hard copy of game from Kalpsal (not sure of spelling) and installed
game. It ran fine with TOA 1.97 as the version.

2. Due to no internet access on home computer, took it into a computer store
and use impulse to update to TOA 2.03.

3. Game will no longer load, I get a black screen for about 2 seconds (no mouse
cursor) and the back to desk top with no error message.

If I manually load Dread lord or Dark avtar these both work fine still, however
no TOA??

I did notice that the start up logo (the screen with the upadte serial, play
game etc) has chaged from A TOA specific one (bluish) to one that now says GAL
CIV 2 Ultimate edition, which has no switch chapter buttons or update game botton
(still has update serial though)

I went into my games and this it what was listed in the debug for twtlight and
have attacheted as a word document.

Any help would be greatly appreciated as the 2.03 patch seems quite a bit ahead
of the 1.97 version (which I could still play if I reinstall) but, it did cost
me $22 to get the patch.

Here is a copy of the debug

Found somone who was havin similar problem in the bug section.

https://forums.galciv2.com/362254

Unfortunatly no one responded to his question.

I have been in contact with star dock an they are investigatiing, but they did comment that my debug report seeded to have only the first page. I double check this and that is definatly all there is. From reading some other posts out there it seems it may have somthing to to with activation issues.

Has anyone seen/solved this before???

Generally it will indeed get further than that. As this isn't a common/known issue, [email protected] is your best bet.

Thankyou very much for responding, at least now I know that it is not a common problem. When (I'm being an optomist here) stardock solve this 'start up' problem I will post the results.
