How do you get to be so evil on tiny maps?

Do you colonize all the crap planets just to get events and an eventual alignment change?

I eventually colonize the 13+ planets, and lately ive
been playing abundant tiny, so there are more planets
to colonize.

I always select the evil choice on tiny, it only
takes two of the more powerful evil choices to
become at least chaotic evil. I also 'purchase' cships
on tiny and put all my resources into teching rather
then trying to build then normally, lets me grab
a few more before the AI gets em all. Of course by
the end of the game, all the planets are mine, but
I dont get to pick evil choices when I capture a
planet, only when I colonize it :)

Staffa that's a great idea you've sort-of suggested.

Have event choices at other times, like when you invade... makes sense right?

(Note: as conquest message says you "set up a provisional government" I assume there are alien survivors left)

You could have choices to enslave the AI or preserve their culture or let them speak the native language, etc.

One thing that has crossed my mind is some of the "evil" choices I make that have no effect on alignment... I had an AI surrender and then I immediately sold his planets for peace (I can never bring myself to trade humans). Event choices at other times would be neat.

Staffa:

You play tiny/abundant? I was sure you played tiny/rare. With tiny/rare, if you Ctrl-N for for a 2+ planet start, you get a huge leg up on the AIs that start with only 1 planet. I would think that starting with 3 planets would counter the inherent advantage the AI gets at Masochistic. (However, I'm still working my way back up to Intelligent, after upgrading to 1.04.)

My first tiny/maso is tiny rare, and you will note
im neutral :)

The rest are tiny abundant.

Does alignment affect your score?

I've been hacking away at masochistic on tiny maps with uncommon planets for the past couple of days, and haven't been able to crack 3500.

In my opinion, you stand a better chance of getting a better score with tiny abundant as opposed to tiny rare. More planets=more pop=better score.

I think tiny abundant is more difficult than rare, especially if the Altarians or Torians get 3-4 systems and you are stuck with two.

Yes, abundant is worth the most and for some reason
I have the most trouble with the drengins. Though I
rush pretty hardcore and the dregins have all the
military advantages.

If you dont rush, then yea, the alterians can start
to culturally dominate you rather quickly, there
isnt anywhere to hide :)

I dont think align effects score at all, but frog said
that a filter for align was going to be added and
some other stuff on metaverse, and being in the
'evil' GROSS empire, I decided to be evil.

Anyway, when rushing on tiny, I just kill those that
hate my evil bastard self.

I finally cracked 3500, but just barely. I played on abundant like you guys suggested, but boy was it ever tedious.

I spent a long time at the end of the game waiting and waiting and waiting for my population numbers to get big enough to load onto transports and steamroll the torians. The torians had many PQ 25+ planets, along with aphrodisiac ... I finally got frustrated, gave up on traditional warfare and saved up for some mass drivers.

When I play tiny, im all about the +30 soldering bonus.

It really helps with rushing :)

And yea, try a gigantic abundant if you want tedius,
tinies take me 2 hours and thats with all fighting.

Gigantics take me 6 hours if I dont fight, 12 if I do.
