How do you install mods to the game? Could someone post a step-by-step procedure for this?
On windows XP (Vista has a different user folder location), you'd simply unpack the zip file the mod comes in to C:\Documents and Settings\your username\Local Settings\Application Data\Ironclad Games\Sins of a Solar Empire\Mods, keeping the folder structure so that the mod has its own folder in that location. Then start the game up, go to the mods page in the options, and enable it.
Also note that most big mods are either updated or being updated to be compatible with the 1.1 patch, so you'll probably want to make sure your game is up to date, as well. In particular, the straight-from-disk 1.0 doesn't have mod support at all 
Seems like all the mods I've tried cause Sins to crash since the 1.11 update.
