Do the Thalans have a starbase attack module as of v1.99?

As of 1.96 actually I believe, they have access to Battle Stations I, which was the single component they were missing required to add weapons onto their starbases (Battle Stations II, III, & IV, Devastation Beam, and Matter Detonators).

I'm seeing it as Space Weapons (after Defense Industries).

My bad, it was 1.95.

+ FIXED: Added "Space Weapons" and "Space Defense" techs back into the Thalan tech tree in their usual place right before the weapons and defense branches.  I made them cheaper than usual so you can still have a quick research route to those branches of the tree.  The reason I had to add them back in is because they provide starbase modules that are prereqs to other starbase modules that are still being unlocked in the thalan tree.  Without access to the prereq starbase modules however, any modules that depend on them are impossible to use.  Simply adding the two techs back into the tree fixes the issue.

I think the transition from SDC to Impulse screwed up my game.  I uninstalled all the GalCiv games and still had a bunch of folders left all over the place.  I deleted everything and am installing from scratch now.

Yep, a clean install through Impulse worked, I have my Space Weapons tech back.  Playing the Thalans is much less annoying now.

Well, this is nice.  My reward for uninstalling everything GalCiv-related, hunting down and destroying all remnants of previous installs, and waiting through the interminable reinstallation process, was getting the random event that doubles the base planet quality.  Of Thala.

Other planets you say?  I don't NEED any other planets!  :D

This has nothing to do with my original post, but since my last post was about one of the cool happenstances that make this game so much fun, I'll throw in another one:

Playing as the Altarians, got a class 8 world with a 60% starship bonus, my highest ever.  Gladly took the evil choice to get the bonus.  Got several military resources, rushed Xinathium Hull Plating and later built the Doomsday Generator on the shipyard planet.  Built all my warships on that one planet as much as possible, they came off the production line with over twice their pre-bonus attack rating.  I play Very Slow tech rate so I rarely get past Small hulls and they don't go obsolete very quickly.  Kept upgrading them and by the end they had more HP than a regular large hull and were utterly unstoppable.   Though when the Peacekeepers showed up I was forced to build a few bigger ships to deal with them. Twas fun :)
