Yes it has been too long since I have posted any updates about WC2K5.  But it has been for good reason.

We have been working hard at coding the main site trying to get the beta ready for launch.  We were supposed to have it ready yesterday but we fell behind schedule a little bit. 

Now just because he have been working on the main site does not mean that we stopped coding on the WinCustomize Personal Pages.  However, we have taken a small break from the WinCusomize Personal Pages in order to get some work done on the main site.  I have a few updates on the personal pages that I will try to get in this week but most of our attention will be on the main site.

Very nice! I especially like the "Newest" "Popular" sections acting like the wincust browser program does. I'm looking forward to this going live!

And oh, the overall look is much less *busy*, and much more usable (in my opinion, of course).

Are titles becoming a thing of the past? I know when I log on it says "Welcome Scribe Essencay" and in Stats under access, I'm showing as Scribe(4). But I don't notice the use of titles anywhere else and there is no option to edit your title here like you can at the old site.

We haven't coded in the titles yet but that is a good question.  We really haven't discussed the titles to date.  I imagine that we will probably get them back in.  As far as editing goes, many of the options from the old site just haven't been coded in yet so we have not made the forms to edit those options yet.

I like the tabbed layout very much. I'm sure people will be asking "Where's the theme manager?" so that they can give it a more personalized look. (I'm guessing that piece is still being coded).

One thing I noticed on most of the pages...on raised items with a drop shodow the light source is from the upper left...on sunken (Cutout) area with a inside shadow the light source is from the upper right.

I know...pick'n nits. :)

I don't know where else to post this, but this is not really in reference to the new site (as I'm not a subscriber), but to the personal pages: Everything seems to be working properly when it comes to the visuals, in Internet Explorer, but in Firefox, you got some display/layout problems, especially with the articles. The top bar where the "Article Index", "Create New Article", and "Add Reply" buttons are located, is totoally distorted with regards to the white box (container) images and the placement of the buttons. Maybe not a priority to fix, but I still thought it deserved mentioning. I do hope it gets fixed soon though. Thanks.
