Kudos to you!

I understand there's already a similar thread, but I wanted to emphasize one point in particular.

Two things make a game great: 1) The game itself, and 2) Developer support. Galciv is an amazing game, and I know it because I will say "just one more turn" until the birds are singing outside and I need to be at work in three hours.

But I am exceptionally grateful for the amount of support from Frogboy and the other developers. It's not often that the lead developer for a project takes time to address issues on bulletin boards, and rarely to updates come out so soon after the public release.

I know I sound like a "fanboy," but I just wanted to take a moment to thank all of the developers for not only making a great game, but for caring enough to give it full and dedicated support. It's refreshing.

Please continue to upgrade Galciv, and I hope you all make a load of money so we can have a sequel in a couple of years.

That is all,

JD

I agree! Count me as a happy customer! :)

Brad & Company, please don't despair at the recent rise in negativity. I can't understand, for the life of me, why people who don't like a game (any game) continue to visit the game's forum or post hateful remarks. Constructive criticism is obviously fine. I think we know what I'm talking about.

The grumblers will be gone ... eventually. Here's to a future (and current) happy GalCiv exprience! :CONGRAT:

I agree as well. :) This is one of the best games I've owned. It's a complete blast to play, and I can most certainly see it remaining on my hard drive for years to come. The development team has impressed me every bit as much as the game itself has. Most gaming companies tend to go on vacation after release, but Brad and the rest of the Stardock team have been addressing issues faster than any development house that I've ever encountered. Kudos on an extremely fun game that literally has limitless replayability, and from what I've seen, the best post-release game support and development in the industry.

Great job, I'm definitely one very satisfied customer. :)

Totally amazing. I just played my first game through all the way against beginners.. Cutural victory!!!

Start working on an expansion and you'll be more than welcome to suck another $70 (Cdn) out of my pocket.

I've got about 2 hours before I need to go to bed and I'm afraid to start another game.. because I'm sure I'D hear birds chirping because of the 'one more turn' syndrome.. or possibly the phone when my boss calls to find out where I am.
