One purchase 2 Machines?

Can I buy one copy of Dark Avatar and not only play it on my desktop machine, but also on my laptop while I'm travelling?

So one user, simply two machines.

And if so:
I got the message that the copy did not match the machine ID when I attempted this on my laptop, so if this is OK, how do I bypass this stage?

I can answer the first:

As long as you're using one at a time, then you are allowed to do so.

As for the second: The simplest thing would be to install again on the laptop through SDC instead of copying the game off of the desktop machine (correct me if I'm wrong about the approach you took.)

I was indeed copying off the desktop, since it took yonks to download the first time, but I see how this could be a factor. Thanks for your answer.

You can copy it of your desktop, but you must either use the stardock central archive feature, or the delete the sig.bin files.

If you just copy the files you'll miss the registry stuff, so SDC archives are the best bet.
