Dread Lords + Dark Avatar Plot

I love this game, but I simply cannot get into the campaigns. I start playing because I am interested in the story, but halfway through the first or second mission I start to get bored.

I'm sure the campaign is fantastic, really. It's just that I tend to prefer the longer, drawn-out games over the quick & dirty campaign maps. In my gigantic, very slow research games I have been known to lovingly spend 5 hours or more designing a ship, whereas in the campaign I just pick a hull and slap some guns onto it because I know I won't have it for very long.

Anyway, my point is I am still very interested in the plot of Galactic Civilizations II and the relationships between the different races. I've found some information from places like the Wiki, but nowhere could I find a detailed synopsis of the campaign plots.

To avoid spoiling it for anyone who doesn't want it spoiled, it'd be great if someone could PM the story to me. I only ask that it be reasonably detailed as to what happens and how the different races relate to each other.

Thanks in advance!

I don't play the campaign either. Mostly because you have to research the same *rap over and over again. Repetetive soon sets in.....

Take a look in the \Data\English\Campaigns folders of GC2 and DA, there you can read up about the campaign missions.

Edit: Okay I found the mission briefings. The only problem now is that I don't know what order they should be in.

I would reccoment the mission called 'appocolypse' in DL

I am playing that one again now myself.

It is a brilliant mission and on harder levels the dreadlord ships increase in speed from 5 to 11 making it very difficult to get anything done!! very fun!!!

Also i play that mission because the random map 'dreadlords on parade' game dousn't work. It dousn't work because selecting the dreadlords on parade game option forces all the other AI races into the game weather you want them or not. This in turn results in the dreadlords being overwhealmed every time, stupid.
