Quit complaining.

If this game is so lousy how come you spend all day posting complaints about it? I would think you would go to a game you like better and post there. Is it because in Civ4 you have caveman American's with Goerge Washington living in a cave palace? Or, is it because every character in Civ4 looks like each other (excuse me except for the one special one). Or kick-butt AI in Civ4 that needs 2gigs of memory not to diarrhea all over huge maps. At any rate I'm sure I'll get a plether of good reasons to complain. I just hope the people who designed the game listen to the countless magazines and online zines who rated Dark Avatar above 90%. Good work guys.

My favorite Civ4 building is the The Great Wall of Aztecia. With the chinese looking Aztec buildings it looks great.

Uhh.... I see a lot more discussion, questions, and conversation than complaints here to be honest. Plus I imagine a lot of people who are here regularly post from W - O - R - K.

Wow this is the stupidest thread ive ever seen . I don't think you will find one product out there with any kind of fanbase no matter what it is TV,Games,Music...etc that has a perfect audience that makes no complaints . When people complain about something it's because they see room for improvement because no product is perfect . Go to any game forum that has a company with any kind of continued game support and you will see they mirror this forum ( some complaints and a lot of compliments ) .

Gal Civ is entertaining enough to keep a lot of people playing including me but I see room for improvement on a product that I have paid for so i'll continue to voice my opinion in hopefully a constructive manner .

When you set them up to not complain about the game. They complain about the thread, and then try and complain that complaints shouldn't be looked down upon. Your thread is actually stupid bud. I imagine your right Tetra I too see more constructive talking, but it bugs me because a lot of programmers work hard for these people and all some of them can post about is "PIRATES=BORING". Ok go watch Law & Order then. I mean c'mon. I guess my biggest complaint is people complaining about a good game with a solid team. Like I was saying THQ, Firaxis, and Activision care less about administering public requests into a Patch. It's all about fixes and online balancing. Personally I like when Pirates appear and take out the Imperialist Superpowers. Then I got some other guy saying he beat the game with AI up to 200 percent , and he thinks the AI sucks. Yet he doesn't have a metaverse score to prove it, and I doubt he can get one. I really really really like this game. I am an intelligent gamer who has played turn based strategies and RTS for years. I know a good game when I see one. So I understand saying "Aw shucks I wish this game didn't have pirates." or "Is there a way to get rid of those frakking pirates" but every other post seems to be "Pirates=Boring". Then I post a response and I get somebody from the bottom of the Gene pool calling me stupid. So this is my Complaint against Complainers.

So this is my Complaint against Complainers.

Actually, aren't you complaining about complainers complaining about complainers? Hrm. I think I got lost somewhere in there.

If noone ever complained, nothing would ever change.    It's been a while since there's been one of these threads. It should make for some entertaining reading before dying out only to be revived in a year by someone replying as if the post was made yesterday.   Ahh...the life of a forum thread.

I mostly see constructive criticism posted here, and the developers have said they appreciate that. The few actual complaints I see are from people who play the game for a week, hate it, post their thoughts and then you never see them again.

Generally the more people you see criticizing a game the better the game is, because it means the fans feel it's worth spending time outlining how the game can be improved. The only exception to this is when a game is overhyped or is a sequel to a much better game and people rush out and buy it and then get pissed because they wasted their money. Personally I'll never lay down my hard earned cash for a game unless I've played it first.
