Lost graphics

I have inadvertantly done something to my game that has caused the graphics on the galaxy map, the planets and ships, to not appear. All I see is the symbols that are displayed normally when you zoom out.

What could have caused this and how do I fix it?

Check the Tactical Zoom Level slider in the options. If it is set too low, it effectively makes the game always use strategic mode. The default is 25, FYI.

I thank you for the suggestion. I had made a few mods and thought I may have deleted something or accidentally moved a folder/file in error. Your suggestion was correct. Ironically, I had set the zoom slider to 100%, after turning it down to 30 the planets and ships have reappeared. phew!!
