Strategy First will be receiving the files to localize it for Europe. I believe (don't hold me to this), that'll be at least French and German. And probably Spanish and Italian.

Anyway, who cares about languages in the first place? We in Europe are used to software being in English, and what does it add to the game if it is in a different language? No priority to me, better a good game and strong AI! :)

Jean Paul 2, don't you rather want a Polish localization ? LOL
I don't think game is planned to be translated in French, maybe I'm wrong. Je veux bien le faire !

I think Strategy First is going to do a French version. I started to translate it back in December. Diplomacy and the Tech Tree aren't translated yet unfortunately.
And the build I have doesn't seem to like accentuated chars :(

Je pense que Strategy First va faire une version française. J'ai commencé à traduire Galciv en décembre dernier. Les dialogues de diplomatie et l'arbre des technologies ne sont malheureusement pas encore traduits.
Et la version dont je dispose ne semble pas aimer les caractères accentués :(

Please do not translate the voices into french (eg, in the videos), voice translations are usually disappointing. Subtitles would be a far better solution.

PS : it's really a pity that we won't have accentuated characters. I hope the coders can do something ?

Also, I fully agree with Freya, a translation is useless. If GalCiv was to be played by young gamers, say under 13, it would have been a good thing. But the typical GalCiv player is probably mu older, or am I mistaken.

PS :
c'est bon les gars, parlons pas français ici, voyez ce que ça serait si les autres se mettaient eux aussi à utiliser leurs langues maternelles.
[TRANSLATION : ok guys, let's not speak french here, see what it'd be if the other ones begun using their native languages too.]

glMatrixMode, Cari is working on it right now :)

Videos will probably not get translated. And if they do, you can always get the original ones from Drengin.net

Huh, that's what's already happening, the other are US people ... LOL LOL

Not to mention the fact that there are a good number of people in the US that are bilingual (or the fact that a number of Americans can't get American English either. Witness the whole 'Ebonics' mess.)
