On The Train
A Poem By Me

Hey guys, this is a new poem by me. It's pretty weird, so if you don't like it or understand it just ask what's confusing. I won't be offended if you don't like it... It's pretty strong.
~Anne
I once thought you were beautiful
You represented my freedom, and hope
But I saw who you once were
And you make me sick
I saw your propaganda
The smiling children on the trains
Straight to Auschwitz, Dachau
Straight to their execution
I used to think you are strong
You would rescue me from my fears
But your smiling, waving children
were not rats, but humans
You did not rescue them from the Reich
You did not save them
Would you send me to Auschwitz
Would you put me smiling on my train
Would you do to my freedom and hope
What you did once before
Let it happen again
Show me smiling, on the train
I do not love you anymore
You can have your fleurs
And your poets and your artists
And that freedom that you represent
The black flags that used to fly
From your walls, and the uniforms
Are suffocating my dreams of you
I will not take your train
You will not take my life.
