eBay Imports = NO Manual. Should I buy it or not?

Planning to purchase GC2 BUT do I need MANUAL for proper game play?

If I buy an import it doesn't come with a manual. In some games I know the manual is a joke and is completely useless ...like the GTA's and most FPS's.

However in most good strategy games, I know the manual is totally necessary for complete game knowledge and full in-depth game play. I always manage to find out little "ah-ha" tidbits while skimming the manuals long after I bought the game. Thats why I guess some manuals are like actual books and not stupid little pamphlets.

I realize some games have great tutorials and the manual isn't really necessary, but how about GC2?

Just get the game off of amazon.com, you get a good price and you know what you r gettin, and you wont have any problems with the serials, you know its brand new not used IE-IT might be registered by another person and you cant update your game.

I personally didnt need a tutorial, becuase i had a lot of experiance with these types of TBS.

Any legal copy of the game you purchase will come with a manual. If it doesn't, then it's likely an illegal copy and won't be supported (i.e., no patches past v1.0X and no tech support).

Don't buy it. I did and got a pirate copy with no serial code. When i complained to them they quickly cancelled their e-bay account. It took over a month to get my money back.

I guarantee you won't even be able to update the game. The sicko has probably already used the serial code.

As stated above, don't buy it. You won't be able to update it without the activation code.

Yes, the manual is both funny and useful. However, it was outdated by release, and now a lot of what it says is invalid.

OMG, I found the entry on Ebay. This is the disclaimer at the bottom of the ad:

This is import edition PC video game, it plays in English, but there is some foreign writing on the game case. Manual is not in English and therefore not included. This is used game, may not work on Internet. 100% Original, factory made game, not pirated.

Also: he's listed as being a member since Mar-13-06, and has 132 feedback entries?

Please stay far, far away from this auction!! It is just all kinds of wrong. Buy someone else's used copy if you really cannot afford it new, but please come back to this thread and tell us you will not go for this!

Actually, don't buy it used either, because according to the EULA it cannot be resold. It will just cause you a massive headache if the original owner won't give you the email address he registered the game under. Just save your $ and buy it for the $40. After all, it's $10 less than most games.
