I fixed my DirectX Problems, but ...

I've finally fixed the DirectX problems that GC has run into. I used DXDIAG and noticed that there was a registry error with my input devices. I uninstalled/reinstalled but my MS Joystick and MS Mouse and the DirectX problems loading the game have gone away.

BUT, I am still getting ramdom game lockups (Beta 3Z1) that require a power off and cold boot to recover from. When the lockup occurs, all game music stops and the keyboard is dead. The mouse pointer moves but nothing happens. There is no SE report. I'ce tried the MS suggestion and reduced my HW Graphics accelleration to "None" but I still get the lockups.

I haved 1 complet lockup at Beta3Z1 where the only solution was to power down the computer (not even reset worked).
