GC lock UP

The game I am playing stopped all of the sudden responding. I had to go to the windows task manager and kill the game manually.

The only thing a noticed was two survey ships stacked on each other.

did you get a message that you stole a tech, and had just finsihed researching one? I disocvered in that case you have to hit escape before things start to respond.

Btw - One of the two times I had a huge load of "pathfinding taking too long" in the debug.err (even tho I played tiny or small) But not the other time.

I spoke to Cari just briefly this morning - they are aware of the problem and are looking at it.

Yeah I had same problem last night, I also had two survey ships stacked on top of another when it occured, both where set to auto survey

Yes two survey ships stacked did it to me, too.

And it was repeatable. I had six of them chasing around the galaxy, so I guess two of them ending up on one spot chasing the same resource was inevitable. Looks like the contention between them locked things up good.

Still the Windows key and sending the close command to the task bar button ended the program so it was still listening to the outside.

Locked up again.

Noticed a survey ship in the main menu.

Earlier Betas did not lock up, could the code to fix the ship paths and stacking be causing this.

The main entries in the debug file
attempt to play unregistered file
Brad reword colony code
new items "were the last entries"
