Some questions @ all and @stardock

Hi @ all,

nice game but some (minor!) things came to mind while playing
some test games to feel my way into it. Especially the immersion
factor needs some enhancement.

If these happen to be already answered please be so kind and link to the
respective threat as I could not find them.

@all:

in the course of my test games I designed a lot of ships just to get a
feel for the ship designer (jewelpart) and to see how things work.

I am now saddled with a lot of useless ship designs which crop up
in EVERY subsequent game. Is there a way to get rid of them ?

This leads directly to another question. Is there any way to see whats on
a specific design (core or selfmade), because the designs can accumulate
and if I have not played the game for some time I will not know the specific
purpose of some designs. (which weapon, engine etc.) Is there a way to
display them like in the main window (intellegence report?)?

Concerning Technology. There is some nice text by the robot if I
develop a technology. But I seem not be able to call it up later in
the game in the technology screen. Am I to stupid ?

Is there any chance on an updated pdf manual ?????? (Pleeeease!)

The original (printed) game manual is nice but should really only
be considered more like an extensive quick start guide.

This game is really deep and some more explanation on how the
different game screens work and what they influence/change would
be very nice. Maybe some example game with screenshots marking
the respective game section / altered entry and some description of
the basic game mechanics. This would be greatly appreciated, especially
by beginners.
As for foreign languages, you could place it on the internet by separate
pages (english and blank) and everyone who feels able to can make
a translation. Collect and place final version for download.

Events !!! Any chance on more events?

Please add more. I had the same event repeated
a lot of times. Some new artwork and some new wording like vulcano instead
of earthquake would be sufficient. (the effect could be the same as not to upset game
balance). The same event repeated trice in a row somewhat kills the immersion.

Any chance on more 'fluff' ? Especially for the Invasion sequece !

Can the invasion sequence be replaced by some small, short (3-5 sec.)cinematics
like the first starbase or else? Maybe various grainy b+w gun camera footage kind
with overlayed HUD for tank, fighter, powersuit, rifle or else, background battle chatter
radio transmissions, still images, satellite view of battlefield, incorporation of various
terrains (desert, snow,forest,city), command post interieur, aircraft scramble etc.
If there are some basic background with slight alterations there can be a lot of
them for some kind of loop. It also would make for dramatic tension. (Anyone
remember Wing Commander 1 scramble sequence )
The current sequence is not bad but feels different, like a placeholder

Some kind of background/history text for the core ship designs.

More different planet text. I think there are only 5-10.

Different Technames!
Laser I, Laser II, Laser III, Laser IV is
so bland and boring. It feels like a placeholder and kills immersion.
Please make it like Laser (L1) , Pulse Laser (L2), Gatling Laser (L3).
Just browse the internet, look up some TV shows or other games for
generic technobabble and you will find plenty of cool sounding
tech-names. This would make a large leap for immersion sake
with comperativly little effort.

Maybe make some kind of contest for collection of ideas/material.
Judging by the user mods already made there are a LOT
of talented people which I believe are able and willing to
contribute. This way even more not so talented people
like myself can contribute. (e.g. ideas for different events)

Maybe collect after patch 1.1 for inclusion into next patch.
