I don't know if I'm posting correctly, but here goes-
Is anyone having major problems with Loading and Saving?
If I save a game manually (autosave works fine) I seem to have about a 20% chance to crash the game in midsave. Also, the save file is corrupted so if you try to load that file, the game crashes again. The only recourse is to load your previous-to-last save game, and hope it wasn't too far back. (That's why I've set my autosave game distance at 4 turns).
Which brings me to my second problem, and it's much bigger. Loading. Jeesh! I used to be able to hit the Load key and barely have enough time to read the hint that displayed (so what is that, 2 seconds? 3 seconds?). Suddenly, it was taking about 2-3 minutes last night to load a game. Then 5 minutes. Now it takes 20-30 mintues. What in the freak is going on? Completely ruining my enjoyment of this game.
Thoughts or help is greatly appreciated.
